This is excellent Neela, it honestly cuts straight to the core of strategic failure.
"strategy" isn't a deck but a dynamic system of decisions. In a world of increasing complexity, our true competitive advantage lies not in a perfect plan but in our ability to make rapid, high-quality decisions in the face of uncertainty.
The concept of a "decision advantage system" that enables this agility is a critical piece of the modern business puzzle and I hope they puzzle it out.. It's the engine that turns a static strategy into a living, breathing, and executable reality. I love this ♥️
I've learnt that my clients implement the strategy I suggest about 2-3 years after I present it - until then I help them realign the business so that get stuff done, be resilient and drink like 250 coffees with me... I've learnt to just go with the flow of the coffee
Excellent article Neela it's nice when I can relate to what I'm reading and consider what I could do better - thanks 🤗☕
Thanks for asking - it was bit rough last night but the fever is gone and thankfully paracetamol has been in the news lately so I’ve found a packet that didn’t have an expiry date of 2021 and made a start on them 💊🤧 - hope you avoid whatever’s going round in your area!!!
Love this so much, sis! That jump from strategy design to execution has to happen, and clarity is the impetus that makes it so. Let's be honest, its hard to adopt a strategy and start executing because once execution begins, then you own the outcomes. When the strategy has sufficient clarity, then everyone understands what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how it relates to everything and everyone else.
This is so smart, Neela. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us.
It has taken me a long time to learn to approach friction as a friend. Still learning. I love the Friday Five from my little vantage point. Thanks for this kernel of adaptive wisdom!
Thank you so much for publishing Dinah - I appreciate you :)

Exactly sis! A decision advantage system is what separates companies that just ‘plan’ from those that actually adapt.
Thank you for reading my boring article hahahaha
Appreciate your insights here. The analysis paralysis of questioning decisions kills forward momentum.
soooo many meetings lol
But it does kill the vibe.
I appreciate you taking the time Ashley.
Almost feels like we’ve been in the same meetings! Haha
maybe we are Ashley.
I am waving my hand at you.
I’m the one with the tylenol in one hand and coffee in the other lol
Happy Wednesday.

strategy often brews slowly… much like the perfect cup 🤗☕
How are you feeling today?

Yea.. all I can say is don’t pay attention to anything coming out from the USA lol
I am glad you are coming along David 🤗

Owning the outcomes is the hardest, yet most important, part!
Clarity makes that ownership manageable rather than scary.
Thank you so much for taking the time :)

Sometimes I actually make sense? lol
Thank you so much for always supporting bro.
Always, in all ways.
